Privacy policy

This page explains, at a product level, what information the platform collects, how it is used, and what moderation and security functions depend on it.

This draft is a product-facing policy for MVP use and should be reviewed by counsel before relying on it as a finalized legal document.

Information we collect

We may collect account details provided through sign-in providers, profile information you choose to supply, contributor access request emails, posts, votes, reports, moderation records, and routine technical logs needed for security and operations.

How we use information

We use information to operate the service, authenticate users, manage contributor access, review reports, enforce platform rules, improve product quality, and send operational emails such as access approvals.

Public vs private information

Posts, votes, and public profile elements may be visible to other users or the public depending on product design. Internal moderation notes, access-review records, security logs, and private verification details are not intended for public display.

Third-party services

The platform relies on third-party providers for hosting, authentication, database infrastructure, email delivery, and abuse-prevention tools. Those providers may process limited data as part of delivering the service.

Retention and security

We retain information for operational, security, compliance, and moderation needs for as long as reasonably necessary. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, but access controls and moderation tooling are used to reduce risk.

Policy changes

This policy may change as the product evolves. Continued use of the platform after updates means you accept the revised policy, subject to any required notice under applicable law.
